Have you ever wonder

Have you ever stop to wonder? What was it? That the men of old all have in common that walk with the Lord? Despite the battles they face, they still comes out as overcomers. Have you ever stop to wonder? Why they kept their faith, without wavering or slacking their riding in the path they where place upon. Have you ever stop and really wonder, even when they were taken out of their comfort zone, face with uncertainty and battles that seems to big for them. They still remain steadfast and true to the Lord. They where not perfect as we are not perfect; but they still remain rooted and grounded.

We ought to know, the secret of these great men success. And how they remain more than a conquerer in the Lord. Knowing that it was easier said than done; " But with Jesus Christ our Lord, nothing is impossible.

When I think about Samuel at the age of seven, heard his name been called and was so eager to listen and answer the call. Can you imagine a seven years old boy, called by the Lord. The Lord created Him and He God knew that Samuel would have answered the masters called. Samuel unable to identify the voice of the Lord at such tender years but his willingness to listen and answer, made him a perfect candidate to be used by God. We can see through the scripture how important Samuel task had been, as a judge, representing God's children. He was also the one who anointed David as a shepherd boy. So that he could move into his rightful Kingly position. Samuel did not have any issue with trusting, believing and been obedient, despite he was just a boy. One may ask, how do you know that? 1 Samuel 3:9 "Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down:and it shall be, if He Call thee, that thou shall say. Speak Lord, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in His place."

Three times Samuel answered thinking Eli was calling Him. Not only did He answer, Samuel he got up and go to Eli. That's when Eli perceived it was the Lord, He then instructed Samuel accordingly.

Everyone of old that abide in the word of the Lord, had to posses these three qualities. Trusting in the Lord, with all their hearts and not leaning to their own understanding. Believing God, that whatever He says He will do. Obeying the Lord, as we know obedience is so much better than sacrifice.

A self check is necessary, to identify if any of these qualities are missing in our life and if it is we are in trouble. Even applying for a job certain qualifications are require and if you do not possess it. You will not be the successful candidate. If you want to live an effective life in the Lord, ask the Lord to help you to possess these qualities. Believing, trusting and obeying the Lord.

Abide in the Lord, and experience victory in every area of your life. Live and not die, maintaining your winning position in the Lord.
