Oxford dictionary put it this way "Trust is firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something"
Luke 22:48 "But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
As long as you're, in this life you will experience betrayal, if you haven't already. IT IS INEVITABLE.. Placing your trust in someone that you truly confined in, then with the sharpest knife, you can feel it penetrating through your back, the anguish of betrayal. Still living , still breathing. You ask yourself what just happened? Is this for real? How could this happen? Where did I go wrong? How comes I did not see this coming? Now grasping for air, as reality kicked in, My Lord, My God, how could this be? The true of the matter is we are not ubiquitous. We cannot be everywhere at the same time. Yes it did happen; force to restart all over again. Can you find your footing? Can I trust again? All the painful reality, that you are faced with. So many broken relationship, cause from betrayal.
Dennis Brown, sing this song.
No man is an island Yea No man stands alone Treat each man as your brother And remember each man's dream as your own
CAN YOU BE TRUSTED?
judges 16:15 "And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart [is] not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength [lieth].
Betrayal is nothing new but the effect of it is painful. It leaves scars, it causes death. Scars that may never be healed. Yes people learn to live on, but trusting someone else as one move forward is never an easy thing to do. Memory never dies and the pain of the scar from the pass betrayal. Still float around in ones head, like a hot air balloon. Death of a love one, that leaves a void. Life goes on, it will not be an easy road but life goes on.
FORGIVE THEM!
Mark 11:25 "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses".
Start living, refuse to die under the knife of betrayal. Refuse to let that spirit take dominion over your heart and your mind. You have a friend in Jesus. One that stick closer than any other. One who understand betrayal. "Give us Barnaba's, the people shout. He can identify with your pain and disappointment. Let go and let the Lord have His way. As you go through this process, mark it as necessary for the season. If Haman did not talk about the Jews and set up a gallows, for Mordecai' for him to be hang. Esther would not go before her time to see the King. And God allow her to find favor. And Mordecai would not be remembered.
Let us pray for a brotherly love like Johnathan and David , mentoring relationship like Paul and Timothy.
And take heart and put your complete Trust in the Lord.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) - “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Amen, my sister. Betrayal cuts like a knife, but we have to forgive, cast our care on the Lord & move on.
