Love! What is it? what causes one to love or been in love? Does it make sense? I don't believe in love? These are some questions, that I get asked or told. According to the Oxford dictionary " love is an intense of deep affection. what causes one to love? when one fall in love, the love hormones send a rush to the brain, this is called the Oxytocin hormone. It release the pleasure hormones and the sex hormone.

Today I want to talk about a different kind of love. The Love of God, so rich and pure, so measureless and strong

In the book of John chapter 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is a classic example of true love. A love that looks beyond our faults, our weakness, our imperfection, our bad attitudes. All of our sinful nature was nailed to the cross. What a love! What is hindering you from loving others? Is it unforgiveness, bitterness, grudges, hatred, anger? Whatever it is take it to Jesus today. He already knows how you feel and wants to relief you of that burden.

"There was One Who was willing to die in my stead, That a soul so unworthy might live; And the path to the cross He was willing to tread, All the sins of my life to forgive.

  • Refrain: They are nailed to the cross! They are nailed to the cross! Oh, how much He was willing to bear! With what anguish and loss Jesus went to the cross, But He carried my sins with Him there.

He is tender and loving and patient with me, While He cleanses my heart of the dross; But “there’s no condemnation”—I know I am free, For my sins are all nailed to the cross.

I will cling to my Savior and never depart, I will joyfully journey each day, With a song on my lips and a song in my heart, That my sins have been taken away.

Lyrics by Mrs. Frank A. Breck (1955-1934)

Just remember in your daily walk,1 Corinthians 13:4-6, Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunted not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.
