As in Legacy one, we see where Jesus leave for us a great inheritance to partake of. It is not the final inheritance but a part of it. How we handle this inheritance, will determine the ultimate benefit one received at the end.
In life, inheritance are left behind for children and others. Some will appreciate it, as others will mistreat it. Let us follow in some great men of the bible examples, who hold dear to there legacy.
We are without excuse not to follow after God and serve Him diligently. Be conscious of your daily surrounding like Joesphs. Josephs recognized that He was special. He was placed in a pit by the same people that He loved. His blood brothers not stranger. But He remain conscious and keep on advancing, Had a heart of love. Committed and consistent like Daniel, despite he was set up. His made up mind and commitment, cause others to accept and worship His God. He shows them in whom me believed. Be determine like Jacob, despite him robbing His brothers birth right, he new their was more to be received from the Lord. He was not focusing and what he received or took in the past. He was focus on what He needed for the present. Be faithful and obedient like Abraham, He believed God even when he did not know where God was taken Him. Have a heart like David, ready to repent and get back in right standing with the Lord. Be obedient and focus like Noah, despite been mocked and ignored and taken for granted, he kept on building the ark. Do not forget to cry for and warn Gods people like Jeremiah. Now is the time we beech God for direction and mercy for His people.
As we look back we can see these men of old, standing for what they believe. They where not perfect, but have a heart after God. Recognizing the legacy that where given to them, they recognized if they failed, generations to come would experience damnation. So they fought a good fight, and pass on the legacy for US. Proverbs 13:22: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” (NKJV)
Many might think legacy as in only money or property. The legacy been discuss is one that have too much to gain to lose. What godly character you possess, what can or what are you passing on to your children that cannot be bought. Been able to pass on the legacy of godly character is invaluable to ones legacy. The word of God made it clear in the book of 1 Peter 2:9, But you are A CHOSEN PEOPLE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR GOD’S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Many of us might inherit some dark legacy, legacy of dishonest, stealing, idolatry, hypocrisy, anything that is ungodly. We have gotten the chance to redeem ourselves, through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ. We have a choice to chose life and not death. To pass on to our children, invaluable characters, that give them hope in this dark world. What do a Princess or Princess inherit. They have royalty running down through their blood line. Legacy is pass on to them. We have a greater legacy. Lets be wise in our doing and do not lose out on the greatest legacy that has been given to us to build on and let it lives on in our lineage.
YOUR GODLY HERITAGE IS INVALUABLE! CANNOT BE AUCTION.
