We all hate when someone cheat or lie to us or on us. Our Adamic nature becomes defensive, angry and sad. Many goes to their counsellors to get help to bring a mend to their pain and their brokenness. Even trying to talk things over to see where things go wrong. Having an affair cause breaking of trust and insecurity in the relationship. Sometimes it takes years to mend and some never mend but end up in separation or divorce. Fingers been pointed at the other person, never taken responsibility or accountability for any of the wrong. We all have been there, Yes, ready to point finger at another person who have betrayed us.
Facts of the matter, we are all guilty of having an affair, betraying others or even ourselves. We are all Quilty as charge? Don't deny or don't be surprise or act like a saint. Yes you and me! We all have done it time and time again. No am not talking about your husband or wives, even though many can attest to that too. It is your relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord.
We have doubt of His love for us, and we seek after many things to satisfy the love that only He can give. We have taken His love as a sign of weakest and abuse it by bring others in the relationship and putting them before Him. We have lied over and over to Him, despite the fact that He is the truth and He knows us from before we where born. From within and out. Many says, "I cannot see Him," Where is the God that you say loves me? At times He is sitting or standing right beside you, knocking to come into your heart and dwell with you. For many He is already in our heart but some acts as if He is never there and they do what they want to do.
Hear the word of the Lord; I John 3:1, Behold, come on now gaze upon this. What manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us. He has given to us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew not Him.
Why is it? Many have given power over their lives to the things of the world. They have bring in another person or things into the relationship. We are guilty as charge. We have sinned and become short of the glory of God. And if any man says he is not guilty, he is a liar and the truth is not in Him.
The good news is, though we have turn a side in our own ways. If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us. Truly the Potter wants to put us back together. Bearing the pain and the shame for us. Covering us with His unconditional love, bringing us in oneness with Him. May I remind you it is not too late to turn over your guilt, shame, pain and even your earthly fame. What He offers is greater than any tongue can tell and what any 20/20 vision can see.
